Hello everyone, Due to Google refusing to admit a false-positive scan on the site and deeming every single download malicious because of 1 file, I have opt'd to password protect all files from this point on that are uploaded to EliteMMO Network by me. This will prevent Google's shitty web-crawler from automatically flagging the site as malicious when it is not. Passwords for files will be in their main post of their own topics. This will apply to: - Clipper - FantasyWarp - FantasyFisher - FantasyScript - Terraria Downloads This will not apply to: (Unless Google decides to mess with these as well) - EliteAPI - EliteMMO.API - XiClaim What Is Google Doing? Google's web-crawler has a malicious content scanner that will locate downloads on the site through links and click-backs. It will download those files (upto a certain size) and locally scan them for malicious content. Sadly, it seems that Google's scanner uses a really horrible anti-virus (Probably something like McAfee lol..) and deems files malicious on this site falsely. Like I have reported to other anti-virus companies and have had the false-positives removed, there is nothing on this site that is malicious. There has never been and never will be a malicious file on EliteMMO. (Unless posted by someone other than me in an unconfirmed application section of the forum.) I have reached out to Google twice to resolve this, both times I was given an automated response telling me the files are still "infected". The files it has deemed infected were: - Clipper v1.1.0.0 - FantasyFisher v1.0.0.5 Again, I can assure you both of these files are 100% safe. They are being marked malicious because of the obfuscator that I use. It has become a common obfuscator used to protect actual malrware/virus' from script-kiddies on sites like Facebook/MySpace, etc. to intentionally infect people. Seems Google has taken the hint and kindly fucked off: The stupid red 'GTFO' warning should not show up anymore on the site. Wiccaan EliteMMO Network Administration |
